It’s been over 20 years since I had the good fortune to encounter a group of people who had just founded the first and only writers’ group in Murray Bridge. That marked the beginning of “The Edwards Crossing Writers” and of many lasting friendships. Since then the group has flourished, members have come and gone as always happens, and I am proud to still be one of the remaining original members.
As a group we have published several anthologies of our members’ work, both prose and poetry and we have helped at least one member to publish her own life story titled ”Betty – A Collection of Poetry and Prose by Betty Kaeding”. A truly inspirational book by an equally inspirational lady, who has overcome setbacks that would defeat a lesser person.
Now it is my time to publish a collection of my own poetry that has accumulated over the past two decades. Mine is not a story of overcoming great hard ship, quite the contrary, as the title “A Privileged Life” suggests. It speaks to my good fortune in sharing my life with my beloved Denise and of course the book is dedicated to her memory. More to the point the poetry is wrapped around selections of her brilliant artworks.
